While the gambling website craze continues on the Internet at a frenetic pace, and online casinos enter the market at an astonishing pace, poker magazines have also seen a rise in publication in recent times.
Now, the Woman Poker Player Magazine and gambling website has been launched, a truly entrepreneurial operation that aims to approach the game of poker through the eyes of female players.
The magazine is printed in Canada and run by Maryann Morrison. Editor Barbara Enright, also a professional poker player, ensures that readers stay abreast of the latest poker news as well as discussing women-specific issues and poker strategy.
The publication will be published bi-monthly and also has a parallel poker magazine gambling website at womanpokerplayer.com. In the latest issue (January/February) Enright is on the cover herself and relates her lifelong experiences. She was the only woman to make the final table in the World Series of Poker Championship Event. Enright talks about the new online gambling website craze, and the future of poker.
The magazine also deals with women-specific issues such as relationships with men while playing poker, and women’s health. The online version also has recently updated poker news. For example, the gambling website Absolutepoker.com was featured at WomanPokerPlayer online due to their new features and advertisements.
